I've never liked Waller as a concept even in the comics, just because I feel like Federal Government has no place in Batmans world. I think the team believed that because Catwoman was generally in the arc she always followed, they assumed the audience would just know what happens next. The problem with introducing all these new spins on characters in "fun" and innovative ways is that while it's easy to start off the premise, it's MUCH harder to give a satisfying ending, and thats why more time was dedicated to less interesting characters like Tiffany. Harley, Tiffany, and Riddler all felt like a pain in the ass to deal with. That's why while I loved the new storylines for some of the characters such as Joker. The writing felt fresh, but when you try something new you always end up making some mistakes here and there since theres no true blueprint to follow. Very well made apart from this, my only problem with the game Other than that story was amazing and combat felt fluid. So so disappointing for something that could’ve been prevented so easily. Selina especially the main romantic interest of the whole series who we can enter a relationship with in the prior episodes just is nowhere to be found after the police station.
I get they had a deadline for the episode but it’s disappointing that they made such an incredible game but failed the ending so much. After the fight with John it just felt rushed like it needed to get out. You can choose to give up the cowl but the whole conversation feels like it’s less than a minute. Tiffany a character I frankly did not care about gets tons of useless screen time in episode 5.
